Sierra Flashback

I got my first taste of backpacking while doing an Outward Bound trip in Oregon the summer I turned 15. We spent a week rafting the Deschutes River and a week backpacking along the PCT in the Three Sisters Wilderness.

When our guide told me that if we had a mind to we could follow that trail either South all the way to Mexico or North all the way to Canada I was instantly taken with the idea. When I got my first job that summer I bought an internal frame North Face backpack with my first pay check and I've been bumming around on the PCT ever since.

I needed to take a break from school last Fall so I decided this might be my best opportunity to do what I've always dreamed and hike the entire length of the PCT. I plan to update this blog as often as I can so stay tuned!
